1. Introduction
Welcome to ChatBar AI (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ChatBar AI, including our website, platform, products, and services (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we protect and process your data. By using ChatBar AI, you acknowledge that you have read and understood both these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Our Service
ChatBar AI provides a privacy-first, conversational AI platform powered by our patent-pending TASK Protocol, enabling businesses to deploy intelligent chat assistants directly from their own verified website content.
We do not sell personal data or act as a sales agent. ChatBar AI only uses your actual site content to generate responses and operates under GDPR- and MAIG-aligned architecture.
3. Intellectual Property
All content, software, technology, and documentation within the Service – including the TASK Protocol, Evergreen AI Links (EAILs), and related trademarks – are owned or licensed by ChatBar AI Pte. Ltd. and are protected under international copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute any part of the Service without our express written permission.
4. User Responsibilities
By using ChatBar AI, you agree to:
- Use the Service lawfully and ethically.
- Refrain from introducing malicious code or attempting unauthorized access.
- Ensure that all content you connect (e.g., website, documents, or databases) complies with applicable laws and does not infringe third-party rights.
- Maintain confidentiality of your login credentials.
You remain fully responsible for the content your ChatBar accesses, displays, or interacts with.
5. Account and Subscription
You may create a ChatBar AI account to access paid features under one of our pricing tiers (Basic, Start-Up, SME, Growth, or Enterprise).
Payment terms and subscription details are defined at the time of purchase and may be governed by separate client agreements.
Failure to pay subscription fees on time may result in suspension or termination of service.
6. Cancellation and Data Deletion
You may cancel your ChatBar AI subscription at any time by contacting support@chatbar-ai.com.
Upon cancellation:
- You will receive a credit equal to one month’s subscription fee from your last payment date.
- Your ChatBar instance and associated data (including chat logs, configurations, and analytics) will be permanently deleted within 48 hours of cancellation confirmation.
- You may request an export of anonymized interaction data before deletion.
- Following deletion, data cannot be recovered under any circumstances.
We believe in transparency and choice – no lock-ins, no hidden clauses, no surprises.
7. Service Availability and Updates
We continuously improve ChatBar AI to deliver a secure, compliant, and high-performance experience. We may update, modify, or temporarily suspend features as part of regular maintenance or upgrades.
We commit to:
- Notify clients in advance of any material changes.
- Maintain a minimum 99.5% uptime (excluding planned maintenance).
- Ensure uninterrupted GDPR-compliant hosting in EU data centers.
8. Data Protection and Privacy
ChatBar AI is a privacy-first platform, operating under the world’s strongest data protection frameworks, including:
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – EU/EEA)
- Singapore Model AI Governance Framework (MAIG)
Our infrastructure operates across multiple regions including the European Union (Helsinki, Strasbourg, Frankfurt), Asia-Pacific (Singapore), and North America. Our EU data centers are powered by renewable energy sources, with up to 70% carbon-free electricity in our Helsinki infrastructure.
We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) unless explicitly configured by the client for specific use cases.
All processing is governed by our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement (DPA). For detailed information about our infrastructure and compliance measures, visit our Trust Centre.
9. Third-Party Services
ChatBar AI may integrate with external AI model providers, analytics platforms, or video avatar partners (e.g., Anam AI).
We engage only two subprocessors that process personal data:
- Google Cloud Platform – Infrastructure and customer account hosting
- Stripe – Payment processing
Both are bound by strict Data Processing Agreements. Infrastructure providers processing only anonymous conversation data (with no personal identifiers) are not subprocessors under GDPR Recital 26.

We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services, but we ensure compliance through regular security and privacy reviews.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChatBar AI and its affiliates shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
- Data loss or corruption beyond our stated deletion policy;
- Downtime due to external service providers; or
- Misuse of the Service by third parties.
Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms;
- Compromise platform security; or
- Are used for unlawful purposes.
In such cases, data will be deleted within 48 hours unless required by law to retain records.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiations. If unresolved, they will be submitted to the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time.
For material changes, we will notify you 30 days prior to the effective date via email or dashboard alert.
Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
